Yup.. Yours is bigger than mine.. because im just using smartbroadband connection.. The maximum speed of this kind of  broadband is only up to 384 Kbps.. And thanks for welcoming me... i appreciate it.. im happy..!!! angel

i can change my download faster like 900 downlink uplink 100 = 1000
or
i can change my downlink 700 uplink 300 = total of 1000

thats the process i used to make my internet connection faster..

By DEFAULT: 500 downlink 500 uplink = total of 1000. 1000 is the maximum capacity for me.. and i dont know why...  2funny grin

I thought I read something about a newer, faster 'wireless' Internet system for over there?

Philippines nears universal Net access with WiMax rollout

The recent rollout of WiMax in the Philippines is expected to boost broadband penetration in the country and help government reach its vision of Universal Internet access for all Filipinos.

The recent rollout of WiMax in the Philippines is expected to boost broadband penetration in the country and help government reach its vision of Universal Internet access for all Filipinos.

After working on WiMax for four years, both Intel and Globe Telecom officially launched last week the first commercial WiMax services in the Philippines through Globe Broadband. The service provides broadband access to underserved areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

WiMax, which stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is a broadband wireless technology that provides high-speed data and telecommunication services. The technology is now deployed in 139 countries covering at least 430 million people. Intel claimed it is the first 4G solution available today that meets the pent-up demand for the high-speed wireless Internet.

Secretary Ray Anthony Roxas-Chua III, chairman of the Commission on ICT (CICT), described the WiMax roll-out as a promising technological innovation that can improve the country's broadband penetration.

Citing a March 2008 report by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Roxas-Chua said the Philippines is among the lowest in the Asia-Pacific region when it comes to broadband penetration with a miniscule broadband subscriber base of only 967,600. The Philippines is estimated to have a population of 85 million today.

Roxas-Chua said WiMax has enormous potential to be the key solution to last-mile connectivity in place of traditional fixed line solutions such as cable and DSL.

"Government sees wireless broadband service as a tool in empowering the poor, by bringing the resources of the Internet to the unserved and underserved communities," he said, adding WiMax can also be deployed for telehealth initiatives or the delivering of vital health services remotely.

The CICT chairman noted that as WiMax is deployed in more areas around the country, economic opportunities are expected to grow for small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) that number about 783,065 or 98% of all businesses in the country, as recorded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Ricky Banaag, country manager of Intel Philippines, said that for as low as Php795 a month, consumers can now have hi-speed broadband Internet access in areas where Internet access had been previously difficult to provide infrastructure-wise.
