Not sure if its been posted yet. If so sorry and you can delete this post. Looks like the Pirate Bay is no more. Its been sold and going legit. Be another pay to download. While I am sure all the posters here never use the site  wink .  Just a heads up. I would not start using the site now..

O you missed the best part of the sale.

Insider Trading Suspected Ahead of Pirate Bay Sale

Securities regulators are investigating potential insider trading of Global Gaming Factory before it announced its planned purchase of The Pirate Bay for $7.7 million, exchange AktieTorget told Swedish media.

AktieTorget, a Swedish exchange listing some 116 public companies, suspended trading in Global Gaming a week before the announcement as trading volume and share prices jumped without public news to account for it.

“There are reasons to suspect that information was leaked,” said Peter Gönczi, executive vice president at AktieTorget.

 :haha:  :haha:

And things are being setup for before the sale for the users to delete their accounts. Just in case....

a tragedy really....the pirate bay was a GREAT site....lots of good stuff could be found on there, and contrary to the popular belief, it wasnt all illegal to download, lots of great freeware and shareware and open source software could be found there. luckily there are alternative sites that are just as good, you just gotta know what to look for.

I do look for torrents to be no longer used by the masses. Movies can be watched online now with out downloading, Games are so Big to torrent them takes so long and to big of risk. But in the end there will be other sites to take its place.

My biggest question is with all the millions and millions of dollars the RIAA has gotten has any of it found its way back to the artists??

Just removed my account just in case.  It was nice to be able to download software to try before buying it.

not true, this site seems to be lasting...haha...could be due to the lack of illegal activities going on here though...
