well i recently upgraded my system, and either my new ethernet connector(on board) is way better than my old one, or cox fixed my speed, im guess its the former cause it coincided with my system change

First time get rid of ME that os sucks period. Did you reinstall a fresh copy of ME when you upgraded?? If you did my guess is that you are seeing the difference between a computer with some spyware, you might have not been able to detect it..., and one with no spyware.. That is a soild speed for not tweaking...

a) cant get rid of ME atm, no XP or 2K availible to me.
b)well i had formatted on my old computer and checked the speed and it was the same as before, now that i had formatted again, with a whole new set up the speeds are higher

im thinkin about tweakin tho

Xp or 2000pro... I think that 98se is better than ME... Just my opinion...
