I live in CT and my Adelphia connections times out about every 5 to 10 mins. My sister's computer is doing the samething. Also, her friend that lives down the street is having the same problem. I haven't called them yet but just want to know if anyone who lives in this area have the same problem

One way to determine if it's a network issue is by running a traceroute.

-click start, click run
-type cmd and hit enter
-type tracert www.testmy.net and hit enter

If you copy and paste the result here, we can help you to make sense of it.

You are getting timeouts on the 2nd hop there, which throws the rest off.  Is all of your equipment provided by your ISP?  If so, I'd give them a ringy on the tele.

Even with that timeout Im still getting a 5.3Mbps down. Im going to call them tomorrow. oh and everything Im using came from my ISP except the router but it always worked before.
