anyone have it? ups and downs to it? better than road runner?
i just dont know much about it and they are having a deal in my area, for like 20 bucks a month for a year and free modem and install....just curious on what and how it works, i dont know much about dsl...

um, for the most part, that 20 dollar plan gives u like max 1.5mb down(i think)/i dont know the upload
with RR im getting 3.0mb down, so im stiking with rr

yahoo is usualy the base of the base dsl. 1/128 mabey 1.5 /256 . My friend has it get about 150 download constant, 15 up. Its the ' poor mans' dsl lol.
But still beats this 33.3 k dislup >=(

"Poormans dsl" would be 256/128 Your friend has 1.5/128 which wouldnbt be considered as poor mans. Hes actually got a good deal if hes paying $20 for it.

Pricing for certain speeds primarily depends on the area in which you live. The same speed packages can vary greatly in price from area to area.

I do know in my area that if you sign up on their specials and if you sign up for a year then you're stuck with it for that year weather you like it or not. If you cancel then you'll have to pay the remainder of the year that you signed up for. A friend of mine got into that when he signed up and he hated it.

I got sbc yahoo dsl! I think its a great deal for the price too. Its just fast enough to satisfy pretty much anything. Plus its my only good choice of price between dialup ($20 a month) and cable($50 a month with same speeds) ::::::::::.. 3Mbps down 500 up for 36 a month. I got my sbc yahoo when it came out for 26 a month and im still under 1 year deal, I will go for cable when it comes out that has 10Mbps down 1500 up.
