Slip, Sliding, Away...

Has anyone else noticed the average downloading speed of Adelphia's network, as indicated by testmy.net, has been slowly decreasing? I seem to recall, the average speed used to be slightly above 3500 Kbps. This morning, the average speed was 3397 Kbps when I ran a downloading test. Curiously, my downloading speed has edged up a bit on average.

hm. less cached tests after the 60000 Kbps limit was installed? therefore the average goes down some?

I have noticed something with testmy.net. I can test anywhere else including speedtest.adelphia.net and pcpitstop.com and get better speeds, but lately when i test here I get 3.8 and I am on the 6.0/768 plan.
check out my recent tests.

I just ran a download test using testmy.net and another using Adelphia. Adelphia's result was a tad faster, but both were a little above the advertised rate of 4000 Kbps for my service. The thing that continues to nettle me is the use of the word "Awesome" in testmy.net's commentary. In my mind, a result isn't awesome if it's well below the advertised top speed even though it's much higher than the average speed of Adelphia's network. In other words, I think the reference should be the advertised speed and not the average speed of Adelphia's network.
