Below are my speeds tested yesterday, I haven't applied any tweaks or cablenut (to be honest) I'm not sure what cablenut is, how to get it, or what it does.  But I know I like more speed.  Any help on how to increase speed would be greatly appreciated.

Connection is:: 4979 Kbps about 5 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 608 kB/s

Bottom Line:: 89X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.68 sec
Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 42.14 % faster than the average for host (insightBB.com)

Well over 20% than the average host is great. You can try using the cablenut calculator to make your own custom setting and that might help it a little bit, but that looks really good.

they are advertised at 6K down and 512 up.  i ran cablenut and now my download speed has dropped to 2K.

I'm running Windows XP, completely up to date, I have InsightBB Plus,

sounds like you used the wrong setttings in cablenut. this is common mistake most people try an RWIN that is too large and actually end up slowing their connection down by trying to make it recieve too much data at a time. Since you had a decent amount of DL speed before Let's try this file and see if it helps any.

i have insightbb 4000/384 and this is what I get with the file below copy the numbers to your cablenut and give it a try.
