Hi, I'm new here. My girlfriends company had a liquidation sale and I picked up their internet security cameras (Dlink DSC-900). I was wondering if anyone has these or something similar set on their Charter account. I can get it to work locally over my home network but I don't know how or where to get started on streaming it onto the internet. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

My uncle has one, as far as I know all you do is plug it into the router and go to your IP with a port, I am not sure what the port is. The setup page will need a password, I dunno if you got it though. I can ask my uncle for the manual and tell you what you need to know.

Okay he has the same one and the default port is 800, id show you the link there is a password on it though and he doesn't want the IP out.

If you have a router you are going to have to forward a port for this to work over the internet. What model is your router if you are using one?

Edit: It uses port 80 and 8481 so these are the two ports you will need to forward. This site will help you just choose your router http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm.
