Recommended Tests

i am using a reliance broadband connection of 300 kbs thru a adsl modem,i use torrents they are d\l fine (30kbs average d\l speed) but when trying to play online my ping sucks.i had played on certain servers while i had another isp n i had no problem but now with this new line i am certainly getting better speed but somehow when i try to play on my fav servers i am getting a higher ping than allowed which never happened with the previous isp.i dunno where the problem is lying.any suggestions or help will be much appreaciated.i am in calcutta.and the game i play is counter strike source.using a intel P4 2.8 HT processer, 865 GBF board,2 GB ram(zion).nvidia 6600 256 ddr AGP,creative 7.1 soundcard using john barrel  5.1 speakers,samsung 17' lcd monitor.pl pl if any one has any ideas pl help.thank you.
