Thanks, I've been coming here for a long time, just never registered. Used to test my speeds when I had DirecWay and reposting on DSL reports Sat page. This place has grown a lot since then. Great site!

It took 3 months for rr to admit they had the modem provisioned wrong- no matter how many times I showed them it was way off. When they finally offered to rewire- and add an amp for the condo for better HDTV (if I get one)- I thought I was hallucinating.

I've been missing Adelphia! the service has been so bad around here. Then I started getting mail for AT&T U-verse- suddenly the rr co-operation began.

How long will it last- till they choke the system with VOIP and their movies and every blade is overfilled...another week, maybe?

I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

I know it's no comfort, but you have to realize just how bad the adelphia people had the system, really, they were one, if not the largest ISP at one time, and they did nothing to forward there infrastructure. Simply added to it, so it has taken TWC this long, and will take longer to get things on track.

I have been with them for nearly 5 years, at times it has been more than painful.  The mail system is still wasted, half there servers still register adelphia, so things don't really work correctly all the time. It's a mess, but in the five years I have been with them, they have steadily improved there all around service, and they have many, more things they are working on, and time is all it will take to fully implement them.

So hang in there, there customer service is localized now, and has improved ten fold in the recent years, but remember, ther hands are sometimes tied, only having so much to work with.

mudmanc4-
I do hear what you are saying; and I remember night after night on the phone with Adelphia in Coudersport (a long while ago). It is just so frustrating sometimes when you know something is wrong and no one bothers to make sure what needs correcting.

The recent activity- rewiring/amps/etc. has been a very new experience. Now if they do that kind of thing across the board- so I don't need a call from a senior tech to explain why my modem has been set up wrong for so long... you get the idea.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback- onestep2
