Recommended Tests

OK, I unplugged modem for 10 min -- I am running a direct line to my modem---its 11:20 EST here so maybe this is why I'm getting good results. The inconsistent results are VERY frustrating---here are my latest:

So, the modem is the problem?

By the way, I ran ONE MORE test--this time with my router setup (Linksys BEFSR81) at 10:20am EST

Again, speeds look good--but on the first hop of the tracert, things are not.
