yeah you should be able to bridge them.. cross over from the laptop to the xbox then connect the wifi.. right click the connection in network properties.. and click bridge.. that should be all that you have to do.. If that doesnt work then you need to turn on ICS.. which is under advanced window of the network properties.  Make sure that you select the Wifi adaptor as the connection that you want to share..

its the same as if you were gonna do with desktop with two ethernet cards, just instead of two ethernet cards 1 is a wireless adapter

What we did was use a old WRT54G wireless router with dd-wrt firmware.   There is an option to allow you to use the router as a wifi client.. basically it turns the router into a wifi card and then you can connect 1 ethernet device.   It basically acts just like a normal wifi card.

I will be writing a guide on this solution in the coming days.. stay tunes and check for it in the guides section.

PM me if you need help with this.  I am doing the same thing, but it took me a while to figure it out.

First Bridge the wireless and lan port together

Second, Remove both of them and leave the MAC bridge alone

Third, After you remove BOTH connections from the bridge area, go to the wireless advanced tab, and click on allow sharing to Network Bridge

Fourth, right click on the ethernet port connection (xbox) and move it to the bridge area.

Fifth, after both of them are connected, restart your xbox and enjoy the worst game ever made (halo 2)

 

bridging your connection allows you to share your connection without having to buy a router

well.. we didnt bridge the connection after all.. i dont know how you would cheat as it has been a while since I have played or read anything about halo2.  I am sure that there is a way with a computer to stat pad..
