Bungie is owned by microsoft right? Well I know that they don't release it on PS2 cause then they'll take away Xbox's (only advantage IMO) edge over PS2. But don't they realize how much more money they could make if they released it for PS2?! Until then I'll have to wait for someone to make a make-off game for PS2... Sad

There would be so much more money generated that it's not even funny. Smile This is great news for PC gamers. Halo 2 should be 10x better on PC than it was on Xbox,  with the next gen setups and all. I wonder if Microsoft plans to let Bungie design Halo 3 for release on the PC around the same time as the Xbox 360's version. Hitting the PC a few months after the initial release would be very acceptable.

Think of how many more games consumers would purchase if all platforms were able to interact with each other through multi player gaming. How great would that be? Similar to NFSU1 where PC gamers & PS2 gamers could directly race against each other. It was hard to believe that cross-platform gaming was actually taking place.

Halo 1 PC is terrible......   Halo 2 PC might be better because Bungie is doing all the work this time, but Halo is not a PC type shooter IMO.

halo 1 on the pc is not terrible its just not that great, it was designed for the xbox console games really almost never port over to the pc very well unless they are rebuilt.

If done right then Halo2PC will be the S#!t but i dunno i have to look into it to see for myself. As soon as Vista and Halo2PC comes out, im on it. Ill post my thoughts on it after i play the MP for a good day.

It's not so much the game itself that I don't like.  Afterall, I love Halo 1 Xbox.  It's the netcode and the online community.  As far as the netcode goes, I've heard Gearbox had a really good netcode before Microsoft (or whoever) forced them to work in 56 K support.  Now, a lot of the time, even if I lead my shot perfectly, it still won't register.  There's no reason we should have to put up with that.  There's no reason I should have to lead it that much, and still have it not register my shot.  If a dedicated server is running at 100 Mbps there's no reason my shot shouldn't register, that's just bad netcode.  As far as the community, all of the servers are rockets, no shields snipers, and the like.  Once in a while, you'll find a default weapon set, but that still includes the FRG and flamethrower (which shouldn't have been added in the first place, gg, Gearbox), and it's almost always custom starting equipment on a big map.  MLG-ish settings are nowhere to be found.  I don't want to even get into the people that play Halo PC.

Well my Halo server is not like that. I try my best to mix fun and Pro on certain maps. And no I dont use MODS. I realy do hate thoes types of servers because people dont know how to do it right and they suck badly. If you are gonna make a MOD do it right. If you want to try my server the ip is 69.65.0.60. I might be in there sometime today. I have many online names to dont try loking for "Alucard".

Wait, do you mean you have your own dedicated server, or one you just host while you're playing?
