That has to be enough. Just a stupid question, which might be a key, it only happens on this site. Could something target this site only? Maybe my comp is zero'd in on this site? Is it possible? Still don't understand. I wonder if CA3LE has ever run into this situation before?
Maybe a virus or ware of some sort? Maybe a setting in optimizer?

It shouldn't be a setting since tweaks don't do much for the 6000 and it couldn't be a virus or spyware since they would only make your speed slower.

"The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think its real because thats how powerfull our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills, and its very brightly coloured , and its very loud and its fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question - is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us. They say, 'Hey! Dont worry, dont be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride.'

Sounds dumb but would you be considering total recovery. I am! It is sunday. Just have never read any thing about this. And among all the wizz's in this forum, you would think somebody in here would have a solution, no not picking on anyone, just weird.

I wouldn't recommend it, but it's your computer. Do what you want.

Have you tried tweaking Firefox?
Open your browser and enter “about:config” as the url, without the quotes.
1. Scroll down to Network.http.max-connections. For the DW4020 make the value 128. For the DW6000 try 64
2. Go to Network.http.max-connections-per-server. For the DW4020 make the value 64. For the DW6000 use 21.
3. Go to Network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server. Make the value 8. (Increasing this value much above 8 will create problems. Be careful with this one.)
Also, make sure network.http.pipelining is true, same with network.http.pipelining.firstrequest
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests should be set to 30
and nglayout.initialpaint.delay should be set to 0 ( make it if it isn't there, it's an integer).
Close and restart Firefox. See if it's any faster.

Well first test showed 305, so tried again:
::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 409 Kbps about 0.4 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 50 kB/s
Tested From::
http://testmy.net

Test Time:: 2006/03/05 - 7:42pm
Bottom Line:: 7X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 20.48 sec
Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 44.9 % of your hosts average (direcpc.com)
Validation Link::
http://testmy.net/stats/id-B1L8S6N3A
network.http.pipelining-only allows type change, not true or false
there is no-network.http.pipelining.firstrequest
could not figure out to create-nglayout.initialpaint.delay
But I did do the rest! And I rebooted instead of just close and open broswer.

To make new ones, right click and choose the type (which is integer for this) nglayout.intialpaint.delay speeds it up a lot.
you also need to create the network.http.pipelining.firstrequest, it's a boolean.

Was able to create network.http.pipelining but it came out as interger and I was unseccessful changing it to boolean or change value to true.
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests should be set to 30 (OK now)
nglayout.initialpaint.delay (OK now)
Any ideas how tochange it over?

Yeah, you can't change them once they've been made.
Just right click, then go to new, and then you should have three options: string, integer, or boolean. Click boolean, then copy the name network.http.pipelining, then select value.
To make all this easier, you could just get the Fasterfox extension, it does all these things for you.

OK so I created a new file:
::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 534 Kbps about 0.5 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 65 kB/s

It might be time of day a little. Man this s_cks. One is too fast, and one is too slow, and needs tweaks. On network.http.pipelining with interger, it is set to 0, should it be blank?
::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 297 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 36 kB/s
Tested From::
http://testmy.net

Test Time:: 2006/03/06 - 8:37pm
