i could have 4 comps running but that would destroy my electric bill which is already high cause of all the crap i run. i wonder how much $$$ a month it cost on the electric bill to run 1 comp and all it ran was folding@home program?

it's more difficult than that. the output is rated at 400w. it may well take in more than that, due to losses in the power supply. (which is the heat you need the ps fan for in the first place.)

so basically we need the type of power supply to be able to look up its efficiency and then a list of all the hardware in the machine to be able to determine their power consumption. from that we can then determine the true draw of the ps on the mains. find out if he has a long powercord on it to be able to factor in that resistance if needed... not to forget the monitor (also draws power when blanked or in standby) speakers hooked up to it.

I just noticed that I moved up to 4th place again
I don't where my "6 processors" are coming from though lol... I only have 3 computers folding. I had a fourth, but it got retired a couple months ago.
