Well here's my just taken speed test. Granted this one is through a wireless router, but frankly it stinks. And it's supposed to be "UP TO" 7/512!!! It was at 4Mbps before the great upgrade.

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 2571 Kbps about 2.57 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB)
Download Speed is:: 314 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net  (Server 2)
Test Time:: 2006/04/07 - 6:04pm
Bottom Line:: 45X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 3.26 sec
Tested from a 1496 kB file and took 4.766 seconds to complete
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050804 Firefox/1.0.6 (MOOX M2)
Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 60.21 % of your hosts average (mindspring.com)

Directly wired to the modem w/ 2 diff. computers - the best I get is 4.7Mbps - the same I got when it was advertised at 5Mbps.

Interesting, Just installed Stipespeed build for FireFox:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.Cool Gecko/20060322 Firefox/2.0a1 (stipe)

And got my fastest speed ever 5.92/723!

Turned out to be a fluke? Could never duplicate. My speed just now:
2.7/329. What a flucuation? And everything on my end is the same ... go figure?

ya there is the update, in indy at least, it says its 8Mbps on dl, i think its 7 but it says 8, we just got upgrade Smile
