Hello j3grizz, thanks for reply. The thread description may be a little misleading. The ISP's have been in existance for about 10 years, it is just a new face for them since amalgamation.
Below is my speed for 2MB download line. I don't concern myself with upload speeds as I don't have an interest.Regards.  Very Happy

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Connection is:: 2839 Kbps about 2.84 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB)
Download Speed is:: 347 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net  (Server 1)
Test Time:: 2006/04/12 - 12:33am
Bottom Line:: 50X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 2.95 sec
Tested from a 5983 kB file and took 17.266 seconds to complete
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)
Diagnosis: Looks Great : 18.74 % faster than the average for host (ndo.com)

Hello j3grizz, I only went broadband beginning August last year. There is a good choice of ISP's here.

Hi tommie, I just checked download speed again and it was flying to-day. Remember this is a 2MB line.

Your connection is: 5027 Kbps or 5.03 Mbps
You Downloaded at: 614 kB/s
You are running: 88 times faster than 56K and can Download 1 megabyte in 1.67 second(s)
Member Ident: Username:speedie CompID:179488316086
Test Time:: 2006/04/12 - 6:20am
Test Browser and OS info: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)
Test ID: SCRYNV8BP (if this is a screenshot go to testmy.net to see if this is fake)
Diagnosis ^info^: Awesome! 20% + : 108.68 % faster than the average for host (ndo.com)
This was tested from a 2992 kB file and took 4.875 seconds to complete

This is the first ever upload speed I done so I dont know if it is good or not, and yes this is ADSL which I believe is the same thing. Upload speed;

Your connection is: 227 Kbps or 0.23 Mbps
You Uploaded at: 28 kB/s
You are running: 4 times faster than 56K and can Upload 1 megabyte in 36.57 second(s)
Member Ident: Username:speedie CompID:179488316086
Test Time:: 2006/04/12 - 6:21am
Test Browser and OS info: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)
Test ID: 8H23PANC7 (if this is a screenshot go to testmy.net to see if this is fake)
Diagnosis ^info^: Looks Great : 16.41 % faster than the average for host (ndo.com)
This was tested from a 386 kB file and took 13.90464 seconds to complete

Regards. Very Happy

Yeah, clean out cookies and files before each and every test. Missed that one. Also if it still seems high, run two consecative tests. And post the second one.  ;)
