What do you mean a rental? Didn't think you can rent PC games...But yeah I can take this game back if I wanted to. I done it before, and I will do it again. I don't want to though! I love this game but it keeps freezing. I tried multiple versions of DirectX, reinstalling CSS, and the GFX Card drivers and nothing. This sucks, really bad!

Well, if I turn my PC off until it gets cooled down it'll run fine for a while. Btw my GFX Card does get pretty hot when it's being used by any game. Should I just try installing another fan?

OK, I think I might know your problem because this happened to me as well.  If your video card is over clocked than this will happen its not to big of a deal

you said the graphics card got really hot then it happened, it sounds like a cooling issue....getting artifacts on the screen if it's overclocked????

Sounds like you might be lagging due to overheating...Have you cleaned out the fan on the Video Card(if it has one), and have you cleaned out your heatsink?

http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=75018 That fan is nice, and can be bent/adjusted to point right on the video card. Mounts on an extisting motherboard screw, or where ever you can find a spot to mount it..
