This means you can now achieve insane speeds. I just scored 29Mbps on the speed test in peak hours for fun. I wonder what the limit for boosting is....

No upload increase however. We can now see 30/768Kbps....sad, I know.

No, I'm waiting. Where do you live?

^ There's another who's been boosted.

Too bad the upload is still horrible. ( How bout a site where someone gets about 2 million Comcast subscribers to say they would transfer to fios as soon as they get in their area because of Comcast's crappy upload speeds? Would eat a lot of bandwidth though. haha)

Dont think the speed tests are viable with the speed boost because it's not your normal speed - 6mbit or 8mbit depending on your particular package.

Like I said it is only on the downside. Files tend to keep speeds between 20-30Mbps for mins actually. I think I did a 150MB or so file at 25Mbps constant.

weird thing is that I noticed downstream are boosting in my laptop, but

not on my desktop.  :whaa:

why can't they just boost speed 24/7, it pretty pointless if you ask me...

How is it I'm receiving this speed from the AOL, and not from the Internet Explorer.  Does anybody know how can I tweak up my system to get this speed on Internet Explorer?

Welcome to the forum bosanacc  wave
Doesn't AOL use an accelator. If so those speeds are not real speeds.

I retested a couple of times.  How can they not be real, maybe there's a way to access the PowerBoost of Comcast and AOL does that?

bosanacc, doesn't AOL have an accelator in it? That would be the reason for the difference, if so.

Welcome to the forum bosanacc

those speeds are cached, the reason why is AOL does local caching there is no way to get around it. unless you dont use the aol software.

I have the 8/768 package and this is what I get with Internet Explorer.

I can't complain with the speed, but it won't bother me if I find a way to get more out of it.  Any ideas?
