Can anyone tell me why this thread is rarely used anymore?

If anyone cares, Adelphia's speed in the Carlsbad area of California keeps creeping up and is also fairly steady, at least as reported by testmy.net.  My downloading speed is routinely slightly over the advertised 4-Mbps speed.  By "slightly", I mean 4.2, 4.3, or so.  There was a time when 3.7 Mbps was typical downloading speed with rare excursions to 4 Mbps.

Also, does anyone know when Time-Warner is taking over Adelphia in the San Diego County area?  I thought I read somewhere the takeover was to occur by or in June, but nothing seems to be happening in that regard.
