Here is what I am trying to do..

I have 2 servers running suse 10...  I have php5 installed on one and would like to use the other as a mysql server.. and then access it via lan for security reasons.. I guess my question is how would I go about setting something like this up?  I have tried ./mysqld --bind-address:local ip address of php machine..

Any ideas?
