Here the large trash pickup is 60 to 90 days. The only problem I've had is if the dumpster is behind your house some neighbors think large trash should be put next to the dumpster instead of behind their fence in the alley. The latter is the correct place.Funny thing if the dumpster manages to get moved behind my house if magically moves back where it was .  :haha:

Is there a brighter side to the UK ? It makes a person wonder why would I want to visit the UK ?? Besides the changing of the guard, or where does the Royal family sleep?
Just curious.  wink

Roco ;I thought you claimed Pagan. We do get a lot of sunny days here sometimes too many.Too bad about not getting the weather at your local airport. The reason the site uses that in mine it's where the national weather service station is located here in Amarillo.I think I saw a conversion for a cubit one time I neeed to look it back up but I think a little over 2 feet.
tommie ; Roco probably has an answer for where the Royal family sleep.Mine is anywhere they want to & with whom. That would make you think about going to a Royal audience as a tourist.  Wink

Tommie that is a good question, and I could easily give a quick " Stay where you are " type of answer, but it has got me thinking , sure London isn't the place it was back in the days of the Beatles 60-70s , but then again, am I becoming a miserable old git, as the years fly by ?   I have decided to do a questionnaire at a place that I work from time to time , What is great about Great Britain, or Sell Great Britain to a tourist,  type of thing , as I need to know myself , I may need adjusting  violent1
day 9 and NO RAIN TODAY  Shocked but night temp.fell to 39 F it came as a bit of a shock,

You are funny.  azn
You may just ask yourself, where would I take a girl on a date? You know.  angel
Must be some new tourist info that would be of interest.  shocked

I get the same way sometimes. I have to look beyond my everyday routine sometimes. I took the kids to places around like County Fair, tractor pulls, daily events that come up once in a while. Sometimes end up taking a scenic route just trying to find the places.  Rolling Eyes

Hi Tommie , thanks for the reply , funny,? I am not so sure in the USA,  there is a big difference between our cultures, so if any one is annoyed or offended by my posts, please say,  that is always at the back of my mind when I post ,
hey ,serious bit over, yeah I used to wander around with my daughter in the car , just trying to find something  interesting to look at, she is now 30 Y+ and with kids of her own , she  said a while back, I enjoyed those care free days , smitten
nice to know those days were important , makes it all seem worthwhile,

Where to take a date  Laughing I have got that down to a fine art , it never fails , Wink a walk ( petrol  $7.50 a gallon ) along the river Thames to Hampton Court Palace at sunset , followed by  a simple meal ( average meal in a pub $20 per head + drinks )  and a glass or two of wine  in my favorite Pub near by , and home for Coffee  Wink,  has not failed me yet  smitten  Wink Very Happy
P.s. It helps that my friend owns the Pub , so I get the best table with the view ,  Wink and I get into the Palace for free,  :grin2  Neutral will follow up,my post on the questionnaire ,Great Britain LOL ) so far very negative responce,
(27th in the E.U. for health care  embarassed ) just behind Turkey

Really, so you do not like the National Healthcare system  Question Question
I really have always wondered if that was not a better way to go. Since health care is so expensive here in the US.
And doctors get pretty much however money they desire. Where if the Gov't paid them, they would have to follow what is normal somewhat.

Please really answer this one Roco.  Shocked

Hi Tommie , in the UK we have free health care but if you are working , it is paid for out of your wages , it is not free health care, as is often quoted, in my working life time I have contributed around $126,000 , not including the interest $, if my doctor suspected I had a form of cancer , I would be unlikely to get any positive treatment for 6 months, also we have the lowest survival rate in Europe for that type of illness ,
as it is free to the wageless  ( unemployed ) that includes immigrants legal or otherwise, any doctor of any repute would not work in the gov scheme . as the money is basic  ,
we now have a split society , the rich get private care, the poor take their chances ,
Sorry for the rant I worked in medical
research for 10 years, for peanuts , but I just wanted to do something for my fellow man , I had to leave B4 I ended up in the soup kitchen ,
P.S I now work 11 hours per week for the same money as I got for 40 hours in the health service ,
P.s. free health care works in a high wage earning young population , it did here some years back, same as pensions , my health care and pension
money has been spent , I gave it to the goverment over the years , they spent it and relied on future incomming payments to cover it , any turnip head could have worked out the 1946-56 baby boon , would one day lead to a deficiate .
