I live in the country. My house is 3/10 off the main road. Also I'm in a big old farm house and electric heat just wouldn't cut it. I can't get natural gas so I use propane. I have a 500 gallon tank outside that gets filled by the propane company. I'm so private that you could F#@& on my front lawn and no one would see it.
LOL that is private Coknuc , if I did that on my front lawn ,

Here's a Google Earth picture of where I live. When I say private I mean private. Between the house and barn is the stable's.

Edit: to remove address

Maybe because you live in Arizona??  :haha:

Try moving north and say that.  Twisted Evil  ON city gas I've seen heating bills in the city on city gas as high as $300 a month. And of course they think they have to have the thermostat on 85-90 degrees..  Shocked

yeah, the boat is aground , good old RAF rescued the crew and passengers ,

the merc , well it looks like a posh area, so I guess he was trying to impress the neighbours with his deluxe log holder ,

BTW, I have the latest  S class Mercedes parked outside my house ,
I guess the owner has parked it there as he probably lives down the hill close to the river and at $130,000 USD he is frightend to get it wet ,
I dont mind that , but I wish he had left the keys with me , so I could have moved it up ,and down the motorway a few times  , if I felt it was in any danger where it is ,  evil6 I would take a flash photo of it but the flash would scare the neighbours ,and I don't want any hysterical females knocking on my door in the early hours , ....... undecided ...Hmm on second thoughts maybe I should try a photo ,  :haha:

just an update at 7 am Monday UCT
the sever storm warning has been issued for the whole of the south of England ,

Severe Flood Warning
This warning has been issued when serious flooding is expected and there is imminent danger to life and property. If your warning is upgraded to this you should be prepared for your gas, electricity, water, and telephone supplies being lost, you're advised to keep calm and reassure others, and co-operate with the emergency services.

Hmm, never seen that issued before in the south UK , yep it's raining ,with high winds , and I have been called out
london airport closed , and a lot of aircraft flew out late last night ,
major railway problems being reported, all all channel ferries are being canceled ,  and chaos on the roads , and it is still expected to get worse  shocked, I aint to sure on going  , they seem to think I can stop the storm ,  shocked, ...........personaly I think it would be better to go and pick up the pieces after it has blown out , just having a coffee  while I decide what to do next ,  undecided  but my bed sure looks inviting ,
lol the coffee must have worked , so off I go ,

sorry. I gotta call bs on the merc. the car looks like it is in the real pic from the dry spots on the ground. but there is no damage to the car aat all where the tree hit it. even if laid down carefully the tree should have at least broken the windshield or dented the bonnet.
then there is the ground in the flowerbed.it is  not disturbed at all where the branches hit it.

I vote for photoshop.

and I hope you get through ok roco.

Reso, I think you are right  the more I look at the Merc pic , and that was from the BBC news , Evil or Very Mad
and thanks Tommie & reso .., I nearly didn't go at 7 this morning ,
I guess I am tired of this freaky weather, lol I made that morning coffee last 20 mins , I think this was the first time in my life when I nearly said &**% it , and went back to bed , but looking at the empty roads I guess a lot of folk felt the same way , by midday the worst was over in SW London , but this storm has a tail that is spinning around for another bite this evening ,
BTW I am back on river watch for my local river , thats only 100 yards away so no problem , OK I live on top of a hill and I have a river close by  shocked,
It was dug as a clean water supply to Hampton Court Palace in 1638 for King Charles 1st , and it's source is 10 miles north of me , on even higher ground , partly eveated and some parts in a tunnel it is about 6ft higher than my house and neighbours at ground level  it has an earth bank with a puddled clay base , so if it gets breached , at lot of water would rush past , and hopefully like last time, on down the hill , it has only been breached once , back in the 50's by a  8 year old  jnr engineer trying to dig the first tunnel under it , and I guess it's poetic justice that I now get the task of checking it ,  Embarassed

I wonder if they will sell the one ton truck for a discount now. I could use another one here. MIght take some rubbing to make it look better though.

I would almost have to consider the UK total coastal area as much as you  all get wet and no more distance than you have in any given direction to the shore.

Maybe thats a big part of the high prices and cost of living. Coastal is very high here also. It would make since.

And I'm very glad to see you post again bro. Really. Actually had me a bit worried when I laid down last night.

43°F
(6°C) Humidity: 35 %
Gonna be a nice week this week.
