:lol:about 1 yard , into the bank , not even near to going under the river , on reflection the big mistake was going in about 1 ft below the river bed , I had just stopped digging and my aprentice engineer ( another 8 year old ) had taken over , when he said the earth is moving ,  shocked,
but I learnt from that experiance ,  fit 8 year olds can run faster than
a breached river ,    Laughing   the saving factor was the elevated section has a run off stream on both sides , that re-enters the river at a lower level , so I guess that took the worst of it ,

I would almost have to consider the UK total coastal area as much as you  all get wet and no more distance than you have in any given direction to the shore.

Maybe thats a big part of the high prices and cost of living. Coastal is very high here also. It would make since.

And I'm very glad to see you post again bro. Really. Actually had me a bit worried when I laid down last night.

43°F
(6°C) Humidity: 35 %
Gonna be a nice week this week.
Yeah the Brits where a seafaring nation , for me a day on the sea or even just sitting on the beach watching the waves roll in is very therapeutic , and we should be used to the power of the sea and weather, we have the second most highest tidal range in the world , and a constant sea breeze most days ,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bristol/content/weather/2002/a2z/bristolchanel.shtml  around 28 ft , and in the future may be part the key to the UK's energy problems , but as usual a lot of talk and no action ,   Evil or Very Mad

well it looks like the returning tail end of the storm has past by the south of England
and swept accoss the Midlands , the same area  that were flooded last summer ,
some only moved back into their  houses a few weeks back  Sad ,

thanks Bro , for your concern, that was apreciated ,

Yea, were sittin here lookin at 3-5 " from two days ago, but you have to think, they would say something like, well....you know... it's warm @ place x, so it gets colder @ placeXY, then this makes variations become apparent @ place XXY, see , then the whole thing makes sense , right?  WRONG!  2funny 2funny 2funny
