According to Time Warner:

As I write, it's August 7th, and no new information has been forthcoming from TW.

However, when I went to adelphia.com and entered my ZIP code, I was directed to the Time Warner web site with the above information.

When I tried to log into Adelphia's HSI Support, I received a message that I would be transferred to a non-secure site if I clicked "Yes".  After selecting "Yes", I was directed to the normal HSI Support page.  Subsequent attempts to log onto HSI didn't require a user name and password.  I kind of get the idea the Adelphia site isn't being maintained properly.  Anyway, I set up an online chat, and it appeared to work.  I disconnected before a service person entered the chat room.

***Note*** I also shut down ZoneAlarm and Norton and slow as a turtle. Now in the past I ran test here with ZoneAlarm & Norton running and was averaging 6.5 Mbps down and 890 Kbps up.

Actually I am having serious lag issues navigating anywhere here in testmy.net. After I entered my password it took better than 40 seconds before I was logged in. Just navigating anywhere in here is like I am on dial-up, pages are loading slow and after I hit post to a response takes longer. I don't know why... ...any answers anyone???

i don't know about you but I don't like giving up my 768 upload if that is the case. I have the 6000/768 package and all they offer is a 5 or an 8 and I tell what, i am not downgrading and paying the same price.

Where do you live?

I'm in southeastern ohio porshe in the sardis, hannibal ohio area.  Have you been transitioned yet?  My speed is much more consistent since the changeover. 

where are you located?  In Ohio the speeds are 5mb down 512 up and 8mb down 512 up. 

Same here porsche6714. Aggravates me to think that T.W.C. won't be rolling out the Extreme tier of 16Mbps\2Mbps in our area, so I guess I'll have to wait for FiOS.

On another note I seen a speedtest from 14227 (Sloan\Cheektowaga) and I wonder if that's true or someone just Bullsh~~~~~ and entered that zip incorrectly.

I havent really seen any new info from TW sice they took over in the Summer.  Here in Buffalo NY, they're still saying 4/384 and 6/768.  We dont have verizon fios though. 

I'm in NE CT, and we're in the middle of the Adelphia to Comcast changeover. My download speed has dropped from around 4000Kbps to an average of 1400Kbps in the past couple of months. I'm getting tired of calling and getting shuffled back and forth between both companies tech support, often being hung up on multiple times during transfers.I've tried all of the tips I have found here, and my speed stays right where it is, and it's slowly getting worse. My last discussion with an Adelphia tech ended with him admitting that my speeds were slow, but that they didn't guarantee their advertised speeds, before being transferred back to Comcast, then hung up on one more time.

I spent a couple of hours doing the Comdephia shuffle before giving up... Here's the log.

Mark from Comcast answers. They have trouble finding my Adelphia account... on hold for 15 minutes. I'm finally transferred to an Adelphia tech, who tests my modem, admits that the speeds are very slow, but they don't guarantee advertised speeds. He transfers me back to a Comcast tech, who also tested my connection speed, and told me that they're slow (gosh golly... no kidding dude!), and suggests sending out a technician to check the outside wiring. He then takes my modem's MAC ID, puts me on hold, and hangs up after about ten minutes. At this point, I gave up.

I'll call another 2 times over the next month, taking as many details as possible, then report Comcast to the BBB for false advertising and horrible customer
