These guys with land lines still don't get it. Rolling Eyes When we're up at our summer camp site in the Sierras, it's 20 miles to the nearest power line. Cell phones don't even work unless I take the ATV up on top of a 9000' elevation mountain. With two 75 watt solar panels Satellite is our only link to civilization, only DW or Sirius radio baby!  Very Happy

Maybe one of those High Speed Cable sissies could plug their modem into a tree and do a speed test.. :haha: :haha: :haha:

Laughing Man it sounds great up there. Kinda wish I could get things off the ground and take a little vacation up that a way.
That is what I really need. A real vacation. And some decent fishing. Maybe some bass. Now those are thoughts enough to make a guy dream right to sleep.

Still working well even through the storm south of me in Buffalo, NY last week. My dish loaded up twice since I forgot to treat it. A little water cleans off 1" of wet snow and ice easily.

fikester,

Looks real good. I really don't believe there is anything wrong with the Hughes system, it works and has done me well for a number of years. But like when I used to drive to work and it was 15 minutes before the hour there was a lot of traffic and it slowed down as much as 60% and weather can cause a slow down. Satellite seems to be the same so I  just go with it and only get nervous when I lose some lights on the modem.
