One thing about satelite I really don't understand. The others are controlled by distance and such. But it seems all satelite should be about the same. Except for advertised speeds of course.

From what I have been reading there are some control over the land lines. My daughter lived in Ca for 7 years and had dsl. A few time I was on the phone with her and had her test at the same time I did and her speeds were slower. Remember that we have a large jump to cover even before we get to any land lines.

So true, that is why in overseas speed tests we do fairly well. It is not much farther there from space.  ;) I call that jump jet lag.  Smile Yeah, a 2 second delay I believe.
