thumbsup  Most times it is sat or dial-up. Believe me we are just waiting. But sat can actually be faster than what you actually have yourself Sparticus013. It just cost too much.   wink

Also stated, it will work in the middle of nowhere.  Laughing

That's the plus, what if you got a power converter and hooked up the sat in your car? Internet around town!  grin
I bet your sat is more reliable than my cable though.

NOT during storms. Mine actually runs pretty decent, compared to others. Can't complain. Just wish a real connection would show up at my doorstep. Like 6.0 DSL.  icon_thumright

Nah, I wish. I am 5 miles from civilization. It is not even in my state. Or any surrounding state. By the time FIOS reaches me it will be a slow connection by that time. Like dial-up is today.  Laughing

Pretty much. But I would not complain. I have a pretty clean life out here. It is worth a satelite on my roof to have it.  Very Happy Very Happy And 5 miles is not far to a store. (in 3 different directions)

5 one direction here and 15 the other two, nothing to the north but water. I have UPS, FedEx and DHL working for me.   grin
Satellite works fine here and does my chain saws for a clear line of sight and my firewood.  smiley
