Anybody else living in Japan?  I searched around for anybody with the ne.jp domain, to no avail.  J-COM advertises 30mpbs/2Mbps for ALL customers on their homepage

http://www.jcom.co.jp/index.php    (Japanese)
http://www.jcom.co.jp/english/index.php (English, but severely stripped down)

I'm using a Kanto region (Tokyo area) ISP, just curious to see if anybody else is getting these speeds, I can't even get half of it.  (Before attempting tweaks)

Welcome to the forum KuroSenritsu   wave
Try this speed test and post your speed. Clean out your temporary files before testing.

Thanks for the quick reply, Tommie, pretty rare these days  ;) I did as you said, cleaned out all my temp files and here's my results:

::::::::::.. Download Stats ..::::::::::
Download Connection is:: 1696 Kbps about 1.7 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB)
Download Speed is:: 207 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (Server 1)
Test Time:: 2006/09/04 - 12:47pm
Bottom Line:: 30X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 4.95 sec
Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 58.735 seconds to complete
Download Diagnosis:: May need help : running at only 57.92 % of your hosts average (ne.jp)
D-Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-BEDU7N6A9
User Agent:: Opera/9.01 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en)

Any tips you have to improve this would be much appreciated.  Thanks.
