Foremost your head and clicking finger , if you go onto warez and cracks sites ,
it's like walking into a lions den ,IMHO

most of the mainstream AV's are OK , although none are perfect , Firewalls , I have found the free ones to work OK

personaly I use AVG free AV, and the old Sygate firewall , + Ad-aware se, spybot s&d ,spywareblaster , CCleaner , EasyCleaner , and a regular Shadow copy of my C drive ,

If you can afford it its up there at the top for sure.

I prefer freeware. Right in the middle of my budget line.  Very Happy

I dont use anything because as an advanced computer user I feel confident that my computer is safe from hackers behind a router with a builtin firewall.

And stay away from porn sites if you dont want a virus. And mysterous torrents.
