is in the old days,
i used to have that.
except worse than most people... i had 24Kbps..
i called and called, never can get cable internet,
called about DSL cant get that

but we went with wireless high speed.
512/512 with 1mb speed burst, might not sound fast but its way faster than that 24Kbps stuff we used to have.

Download Connection is:: 480 Kbps about 0.5 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 59 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (Server 1)
Test Time:: 2006/10/28 - 4:27pm
Bottom Line:: 8X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 17.36 sec
Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 51.031 seconds to complete
Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 31.15 % faster than the average for host (197.226)

Ya i agree those speeds may sound slow but it makes a huge difference for dial up users. Me i never had a problem with dial up. mainly because i had it for a few months then jumped right on the 6meg plan with Comcast. But my Comcast is so unreliable its always out, slow page times etc. anyways best of luck with the new connection  grin
