I'm going to be doing a photoshop tutorial each week they will all be different each week, and will range from beginner to expert skill. If you want me to do something specific shoot me a pm.

This week will be someting relatively easy but something that people often do wrong, ill show you the correct way to do refelections in photoshop.

Reflections In Photoshop

Step 1.

take what any image you want and duplicate it and name the layer reflection_bottom

Step 2.

Flip layer reflection_bottom Vertical

Step 3.

Change the blending mode of layer reflexion_bottom to multiply

Step 4.

Apply a reveal all layer mask by going to layer then layer mask and reveal all

Step 5.

Select the Gradient overlay tool, and open the Gradient Editor and change it foreground to background
white to black

Step 6.

Using the Gradient overlay tool drag from the top of the reflection_bottom layer to the middle

Step 7.

Change the opacity of layer reflection_bottom to between 30-40%

Step 8.

Thats It, if you did it correct you should now have a real looking reflection.

Well done, I often do that wrong and this will benefit me for sure!

As i said to you once, a video tutorial every now and then using maybe hypercam would be cool but it is also alot of work because you would probably have to narrate it.  smiley

I for one will be looking out for this weekly!

Is there anyway you can place it under maybe a folder or sub category under guides?

Yeah, it would be easier to search through them.
