hello,can anyone explain to me why on some days I can just about get 22,000 download and then other days I get 24-26mb.Only on this site,Speakeasy,[this.site.has.been.blocked.for.spamming],Optonline all give me consistant speeds.Thank you

They are all on diffrent servers...the path you take could have a problem anywhere along the line....run a path ping and that would show it.. NERD!

Bottom Line:: 448X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 0.33 sec
Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 3.875 seconds to complete
Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 134.03 % faster than the average for host (optonline.net)

Click "start"...."run"....type   "cmd"....click ...."OK"

in the black box type....."tracert testmy.net"
hit enter

this will show you the times it takes for each segment.....all the way to the Planet....that's where the server for here is.. Wink

If you have OOL, and you slow down at night, it is probably just the node being a bit overcrowded.

Try testing your speeds at different times of the day.

You can use the Automatic Test here ---> http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/scheduled_test.php to set up tests automatically.

Remember, cable is a shared network.  If too many OOL customers get online on your node, you will slow down, and there is not much you can do.  Just keep notes on your speeds, and what time you get those speeds..

I went through hell and back with OOL trying to fix my speeds....I found the fix...FIOS!  evil6
