Alright , in the midst of cooking dinner, and 2nd grade homework, I am attempting to learn how to do sigs. I have downloaded a custom brush, extracted it to  "brushes" , and when I open " brushes " , it aint there????????????? WTF? I have re-extracted, and re started the prog and verified they are in the folder I wanted. Is there a "custom brushes folder view" ? That I cannot seem to find?

 BTW, I'm using Gimp 2

hey mudman...open gimp. in the main window go to file, preferences, and in the preferences window on the left side at the bottom is a icon that says folders. click on the plus beside and and then on brushes folder and see if it has the same folder you are extracting to. if not you need to add it in there.

sorry for the double post, here is a pic of my folders i have for brushes. (i followed the instructions for extracting the brushes from S7R1D3R's guide. so it should work the same for you.

edit//i beleive i found your problem...you probly have gimp 2.2 like i do... and using S7R1D3R's sig guide...(i think you did) it said to extract it to gimp 2.0 folder..so just add the gimp 2.0 folder in your preferences like i did in the pic. and you'll be good to go

lol i am not sure what you mean by is a good photoshop cs2. you mean is it as good as photoshop? if so i beleive it is pretty nice. photoshop is better in alot of stuff...but for sigs, and normal photo editing i think GIMP is a pretty nice program. i use it all the time at school instead of photoshop. because once you get photoshop or gimp. the other one seems weird to use since it takes a while to get used to either program. ...my 2 cents lol  Smile
