Wifi peer to peer shoot / Bye Hughes
«

It was a long and tiring wait for this connection BUT it's finally working. I now have a wireless 802.11G connection spanning a distance of over 10 Km's point to point. I will be canceling my Hughes Net Satellite account. Below is a link to a speed test done @ www.[this.site.has.been.blocked.for.spamming] to which I’m quite happy with.
The upload speed is faster than my in city Cable connection
http://www
.[this.site.has.been.blocked.for.spamming]/result/97053591.png
I would have been happy upgrading to a DW7000 from my existing 4000 BUT my VAR
Galaxy Broadband
in Ontario Canada wouldn't do a Modem Commission without signing a ONE year Contract...to which I was opposed to leading me to venture other avenues.,
I have been a Patron of theirs since 7/20/2005 and with C-Com for one year previous.
They lost a Customer because of there shear Ignorance! and total lack of regard considering this is a very simple thing to accomplish.
Hughes take note!

Good for you, are you using any amplification, I know you have special antennas.

There is amplification. As to what it is or how much i'm not sure.
The signal is a peer to peer direct shoot...then gets distributed via a 10-Dbi Omni Antenna atop a 60 foot tower to which i'm approx 1000 feet from.

Seeing from your test it works well. I'm going to try Sprint EVDO next month, a month before my contract runs out to compare and make sure it works well enough.

Right F*c*ing on ®GËX¾¿Gëkõ®.
You made it over the wall. I guess sometimes we just need a nudge in the right direction. Probably what I need. I found out that I don't have to have a Sprint cell phone to get EVDO from them. So I am about to check it out myself also. Nice speeds there. I am truly tickled for you and any others than can make it.
Sometimes I feel like I am in Stalag 13. We make do and stay as happy as possible, till we find out a tunnel is already dug.

It will get worse as a few customers will be sharing this but for now,,,,,, i'm liking it.
I've found the sweet spot as far as Antenna Allignment goes. 100% Signal and Quality but there are no leaves on the trees . Yet!

Would you like to make a cantenna>? wifi antenna with some serious gain.
link here..
http://www.wb8erj.com/wirelessCantenna.html
But I added a /Twist
This added 10 dbi gain to the Cantenna.
I will be testing this design on the 24th of March outdoors.
The Parabolic Grid Antenna on the pole is 24dbi
I expect the Cantenna on a Dish should yield close to 30
Anyway Thnks to Mike From Ohio. for the Cantenna design........
