I use superantispyware for the first test (freeware) i have had great experiance with it. Then i do like as posted above and close all my processes i can in taskman. Then i use regedit to delete any registry entrys that i do not know what they are. If that fails i just us goast and that works almost everytime and is very fast. Trick is with ghoast is to backup after all your upates and known good programs are installed. Dont visit any web sites except for updates for windows. Works pretty good for me Smile  smitten

OK, so i been annoyed by viruses lately and not all the viruses can be always cleared by the anti-virus software. Here's what you do.

1. you scan the computer and whichever files arent deleted, write them down

2. open up tast manager, end all processes you can (including explorer.exe)

3. click file> New task > Browse and go to the directory where the virus files are, highlight the file and press the 'delete' key.

Enjoy.

I found this out myself, someone should pat me on the back Smile

i would like to try these coz my computer is having a virus.
should i try these on a safe mode?
just asking.  azn

You will have to do it in safe mode because they are attached to the Windows operating system and your computer will not allow the bad files to be deleted in normal startup mode.

If you know the file name, you can use Killbox to delete it as well...
Delete on reboot normally works for me.
