try latest version of nod32 i think its vista ready. i forgot where i read it.

nod32 - very low in resources compared to all antivirus.
          - very fast scanning.
          - has Reliable Virus Definitions
          - rarelely have false detections

you dont even notice a change in your system after installing.

hmm.. what if i tell you all antivirus has cracked version or cracked serials  ? or  all kinds of softwares..? " ALL KIND OF SOFTWARES"
now here's my question..
where did ya use your softwares ? on a home computer or business/company?
if you use a home computer... what do you prefer ? a cracked version or a paid one ?

its all upto you..
if you are a rich kid. then go for a paid one.
if your not. and you dont want to spend a 40$ for just a antivirus program that will work best for you then go to a craked one.
use google 

if your computer is for business / company use then go for free progs. or pay for a prog. that you feel like it worths your bucks.

note* : im not telling home computer users to use cracked progs im just giving you options. dont forget about the risks of using a cracked prog.

i think what he means is that the program has been hacked into, and it doesn't need serialsand other stuff. if it does ask for a serial, it is already included in the download.

however .jm, what would you do, if say, i gave you a cracked security program, which i myself cracked? would you use it, knowing that it has been tampered with by a hacker? if you asked me, cracked security programs is like a big in-your-face irony.

oh, sorry my mistake, i didn't elaborate enough. i meant programs that are supposed to be sold commercially, that are tampered with and distributed freely. the serial number of the program gets included in the download, or it comes with a "key generator". that's what i meant by cracked programs.

sorry mr. tommie gorman, when i said that, i didn't mean freeware at all. in fact, i strongly support freeware programs, specially open source ones.

I think im looking at it right my AVG anti virus is only using about 5 Megs of memory. Its showing theres 4 processes running. Well anyways i use it and it works pretty good for me, it updates every day

I'm a longtime avast user. I can see its using only 2.5Mb of resources.

i like avast and all..but im still an avg guy. 

Zone alarm is not a good firewall at all. And there anti spyware is pretty bad.

AVG antivirus, and AVG antispyware is probably the best combo.
