I'll include my benchmark at the bottom of this post. I don't know how to check how many times people have run tests from them. It's *supposed* to be up to 2.0 (they just upgraded) Mbps download and 256 Kbps upload. Here's what I got (and the tweak program that's really popular around here doesn't seem to affect it for me):
:::::::::::::::::.. testmy.net test results ..:::::::::::::::::
Download Connection is:: 317 Kbps about 0.32 Mbps (tested with 386 kB)
Download Speed is:: 39 kB/s
Upload Connection is:: 172 Kbps about 0.2 Mbps (tested with 386 kB)

This was with 4 out of 5 lights on my signal strength indicator. I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes. Also, I'm in Seattle, WA. It's available in a lot of other cities around the country, though, and a couple outside of the US. It's gaining popularity because it's portable. You have a box about the size of a thin hard-back book, and you just plug it into the wall and your computer, turn the computer on, and you're connected.
