hey van, did you take your server down or something? i tried getting on and at first it wouldnt let me connect, now it doesnt show up in my server list...

you should start an xfire chat server and put people you trust to mod it when you're away (like the mods on tmn) cause alot of the same people play your server and its pretty fun (especially that one small map where we had grenade and knife fights) lol

I would glady join in if my internet didn't suck the testicular region....If anyone wants to play a game of CTF on Quake 3 sometime though I am usually on Monday-Friday from 12:17-1:02 CST(while Im at school on their T1 Laughing). Usually a little earlier than 12:17 and then I am usually on from 2:37-3:25 CST as well. The server I play on is CTF Demo Style and the ip is 67.19.17.54:27962 . My name on there is Colby.

yea its not up 24/7, since both me and my wife sleeps in the same room as PC, she refuse to have in on during night cos of noice Sad

yea i should, but not right now. In Dec this year, we will buy a house, and then i have a separate room just for the PC hehe, then it will run 24/7. Now its up only when im home and awake ( i dont have the time to staart the PC in the mornings lol ) .

whenever your server is down i may start my own server and post the ip here. but first i gotta learn the console commands...

if i do start it, it will probably be only a 12 or so people server (my upload is only around 280)
and this way i'll have low ping and van if you play you'll have the high ping for once  Laughing    just kidding with ur connection that would be hard, distance would be the only way

its basicly quake 3 console commands, just make sure to set rcon password, so you can admin the server


in C:\Program Files\UrbanTerror\q3ut4 you find a server.cfg

edit that with notepad and click save ( disable antiwarp set it to 0 ) thats just a bullS#!t thing that gives movement penaly to ppl with ping over 50 ms...

open iourbanterror, open console with § and type this

/exec server.cfg and hit enter

now server should run

dont forget to open up port 27960, if you have a router

i'm dowloading qtracker onto my laptop with the game and i will try to start up a server from my laptop and play on my pc so i can see the console and everything while i play. but how do you set up the rcon password? i thought you only needed that for the referee thing.

lol oh well i cant even get the server to show up on the server list, and on qtracker it shows it as a lan game but says the server is not active...lol i think i opened the port right...

lol i gave up on starting my own server. lol anyways, i am posting to tell you, vanburen, that on ur server the other day i got my ping down to the 190's so its getting better  Rolling Eyes
