search in www.urbanterror.net forum for a guide to start a server.

sounds good, but i must say dev team did a great job with hitcode, cos i cant see any lag playing with ppl below 250ms

cos of that i have set a server limit, so ppl with higher ping then 250 is blocked.

one guy had a 700 ping and he was playing ok,  Shocked

except after he died, it took him like 5 minutes to get moving again  :haha:

is your server dedicated? and what do you have under the target line for the urban terror desktop icon? (dumb question i guess lol but oh well.)

edit- well when i start a server it shows the console and everything (do this on my laptop) and then on my desktop which i use for playing i open qtracker and it finds the server under LAN, but when i try to join it says the server is not active... i set it to be dedicated to internet. so does that help? (NOOB at starting servers)

yea ive seen that as well, i dont know how they can still join. I think they might have a ping around 250, but have set a low rate in their config....

or they connection just sucks lol

yea i run it dedicated, just start iourbanterror and start server from GUI, set it to dedicated internet.

punkbuster is for the quake 3 mod Urban Terror

my server is the standalone version ioUrban Terror, its using another anticheat system.

just download the iourbanterror patch 1,6 MB and install that first to C:\Program Files\UrbanTerror

after that install the main files the 500 MB file.

search for a server named BattlEye Public XXX!

XXX is the gametype, TS is Team Survivor, TDM = Team Deathmatch and so on
