RoadRunner Cable ISP Total Unbelievable Incomptetence:
see my attachments of the miserable Cable Internet signal day and night that is for days, nights, weeks, months.

 

WOW... I dont know what else to say.

It's a mess, but the whole network is in meltdown!

I am not going through calling them again, that is the most worthless thing that can be done. They were out here a few weeks ago, they can only cut ends off cables and reboot my computer. Nothing ever chages. They are in meltdown at RoadRunner ! Just imcompetent idiots running it!

If the bad signals were eonly a few days it would nto be so bad but ever since RoadRunner took over Adelphia they runied it!

retiredat44, it looks like the problem is between your 1st and 2nd hop.  192.168.0.1 usually indicates a router.  Are you running a router?  Have you tried a trace without it in place?

BTW
Yesterday I was getting a ping of  1600 while on a server !!!! and this was not unusual during this past week!
for a whole dam week!!!

Does not look bad on my end this morning.
But we can only ping back to retiredat44's gateway, we are not testing the actual RF plant on his end.
We would need his private IP address; also the DOCSIS physical layer is transparent to us and that appears to me to be where most problems have been.
