Where is a good place to buy just CD-Keys for just Counter-Strike 1.6  without having to buy the game?

dont know. but if you want cs 1.6, why not download steam for free, then buy the game (just pay for it and download right on steam) and play it that way, because i'm not sure you could Legally..... buy a cd without the game. but you might. just i dont know. but i think the best way would be to get it from steam.

.....when you are buying a game you are really just buying the license to play it, the cd key itself....so you might as well buy the 'game'

Thanks for the suggestions. I have landed a few deals on ebay for new unopened CS 1.6 for under $8  but the thing is I hate to buy CDs (especially multiple disks)  just to get a code where I can download the game online after I enter the code .  If it was Windows software  then I would need the disk but the CD-Key is not locked into the disk at all like the disk is for Genuine software like Windows XP and Vista.

yeah good thing that you got it done. great thing that you found an awesome deal. but think of it this way, you dont want the cds now but sometime you may need them. they are good to have as backup Wink

Not exactly as a backup  because I can get all the games on Steam when I activate the new CD-Key with no cds. Sucks that Valve have to verify each cd-key and got rid of all the codes.

steam is really lame at times because i bought Half-life and I bought Half-life 2 seperately which u would think would mean you could play a half-life 1 mod ex. CS 1.6, at the same time that your brother is playing a Half-Life 2 mod ex. CS:S, but nooooooooooooooooo its on the same account so only 1 person can play at once...... really gay. I get so bitter at times  Evil or Very Mad  Evil or Very Mad
