angry  With all of the knowledge that is used with satellites I don't understand why a drop of rain or a flake of snow blocks out a simple signal from the satellite.  What would happen if the world could not use satellites for the universe?

Because electromagnetic waves travel best through a vacuum, just like a bullet will travel further and faster when shot through the air instead of under water.

If your system is cutting out during a light rain, then you are either on the fringe of your satellite's footprint, or your system isn't aimed and or mounted properly.

It takes a hell of a storm to knock me out.  That goes for Hughesnet, and DirecTV.

I have the same problems with mine, even my tv. Like right now, my tv isn't working because it's "searching for satellite signal. It's not even raining anymore!

"The world is like a ride at an amusement park.  And when you choose to go on it, you think its real because thats how powerfull our minds are.  And the ride goes up and down and round and round.  It has thrills and chills, and its very brightly coloured , and its very loud and its fun, for a while.  Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question - is this real, or is this just a ride?  And other people have remembered, and they come back to us.  They say, 'Hey! Dont worry, dont be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride.'
