Same thing here in Philly.

I used to always get 0.7Mbps(around 85-86Kbps) until yesterday when it doubled to 1.5 or better. I'm getting around 189-190Kbps now (or around 1.8Mbps I believe)

i'm in eastern tennesse, very near to johnson city. I've noticed my upload speed has really went up quiet a bit as well. my normal up speed was around 80-95kB/s but now i get a huge burst of speed. For the first 45 secs or so I have seen the upload speed go up to near 350kB/s(wow). but then after a short time it returns to the normal 85-90kB/s speed.
I think it's great even though it doesn't last long. It helps a lot while websurfing or gaming I suppose. Seeding a torrent or uploading large files does not work as well though because the speed doesn't last long.(someone said the first 10 megabytes can't remember who). I'm very surprised at the speed i have seen at my home due to the terrible condition of the cable wire leading to my home. I have nearly 150 yards of RG-6 cable all underground between my modem and the tap on the lightpole. The cable line also looked very nasty and rusted so I replaced the fittings for a cleaner connection i suppose.
also wanted to note i'm on the 6mb package as well with the game invasion thing for my free fileplanet account. ;) but anyway here is my upload test results from just a few mins ago.
p.s. this is my first post here i think so i just wanted to say Hi to you all as i read this forum quiet often, i just dont talk much. =)

-Edit. These test results are from about 2AM so I imagine the load is very light and my score will reflect that.

Guys, reboot your modems. You will get a new config file that will cap you to 6 Mbps/768 Kbps instead of the 384 Kbps. But, you will lose the powerboost upload, but hey, at least now upload is permanent (I tested).
