As of late i have been using Zone alarm and it seems fine, but i would like to hear other people's views on there favorite's. Or two separate stand alone programs you use instead. Thank you

I use AVG combo.
http://www4.grisoft.com/doc/products-avg-anti-virus-plus-firewall/us/crp/2
I haven't had
any
issues for the past 5 years w/ this. Although they didn't introduce the combo until mid 05' , ( don't quote the exact time ), still ,it uses minimal resources , and is very user friendly.

I agree with what you said. AVG and Comodo whether their on or off I get the same speeds and I don't have any problems either.

Antivir for antivirus and a linksys router for my firewall works best for me. If i had the money, i would buy a Pix Firewall.

Pix are nice.. if you want a cheap alternative that offers just about all of the features of a Pix check out smoothwall or m0n0wall. Both run on a Linux kernel and are pretty damn good at what they do.
For me.. I am running kaspersky's Internet suite 6 right now. I have tried just about everything under the sun, Norton, Trend Micro, AVG, Avast... I am a big fan of the suites just because it adds another layer of protection on your network. That way I dont have to rely 100% on my router to handle network attacks.

Just curious swimmer, do you run anything else at all on it with Kaspersky? Adware, Windows Defender, etc...?

Our site has a site license for Symantec corporate, and it is great. Never have a problem.
Since our main network is pretty open as far as ports are concerned, I use comodo as a software firewall.
At home, I let the WRT54G handle my firewall needs....
