Comcast 6 Mbps/384 Kbps tier, new cap!
«

Today, I decided to go reboot my modem.... and to my surprise, it got a different "cap" file:
d11_m_sb5120_silverdeluxe_c01.cm
So I do a speed test.... hmm 22 Mbps (download powerboost), but upload... 722 Kbps (no powerboost? used to get 1400+ Kbps with powerboost).
At least Comcast is giving us 6 Mbps/768 Kbps for lower tier now...

Proof. If this was powerboost, it would have slowed down to < 47 kB/sec around 5 MB of the file.

I have been on the 6Mbps tier for some time now. A few months back I decided to shell out $10 for the 8Mbps tier and another $10 for static IP's.
My Comcast is boosting for sure

Damn, looks like I lost the Silver Deluxe cap. Now it has:
d11_m_sb5120_silverpboost_c01.cm
I tried uploading some stuff to my server (a 16 MB file), and it started going at 188 kB/sec for the first 5 or 10 MB of the file, then it dropped straight down to 42 kB/sec (very disappointed).
