didn't sound to me like it had anything to do with respect for bikers...it was reckless driving...could have been any vehicle going thru that stop sign...anyone...he didn't care...he just wanted to get where he was going without regard for anyone...not even himself...it was just stoopid

Exactly ! The worst part wa is that I saw the bike coaming down the road, I waited because there was a school bus trying to get around where they had a hard time, and when the dumb-ass came up to my left, in the wrong lane, there was a guy, and then a really old lady in the back seat. I tried to holler to get his attention, but he could care less, and all the cars behind me could see the bike coming, and laid on there horn, but he did nothing.

Yep, people need more respect for bikers.
, every driver should have ridden a bike powered or pedal powered .
I read a report ( link now lost ) about size , nobody F**Ks with a big rig ,
but Bikes are seen as small , and don't count ,
they ran a biker across New york in the rush hour
1st wearing Black leathers , he recorded the near misses ( a lot )
2nd wearing dayglo gear , not much difference
3rd time the police lent him a police bike , he recorded no near misses
the point of the test was to prove car drivers can see the bike , but don't mentally think of it as being important , unless it is a highway patrol bike ,
I guess size does matter , as all the spam mails I get keep telling me

so what happened...?? was anyone hurt? what happened to the bus? what kind of car was it...did he hit the bike or did the bike hit him...not sure which would be worse...???

I still have a motorcycle license so I can legally ride one.I haven't for many years though.
A friend of mine was badly & permanently injured by a van that ran a stop sign.
I decided I didn't want to end up like him so I sold my street bike.I still ride off road at times.
I have also been on a borrowed street bike a few times since.
I had some close calls myself. You really have to watch other vehicles like they're always going to do something stupid.
btw I never had an accident on the street on a motorcycle.
I also have two bicycles one an English type 3-speed & one ten-speed.
I do still ride them on the street.
