Here is a project called scratchboard.   I took a pic of a Bear. (attached) and took a peice of paper coated in dried black ink, then took a scratcher about the size of a ball point pen end and scratched off the black where i wanted. i got a B+ on it. i'd like your oppinions.   i have others like pastels and stuff..but that would get my scanner totally dirty and plus its too big to scan...

anyways here is my scratchboard. 


this is the original.



here is the one i did.


edit, when i sync my camera to my pc later, i will upload a pic of my pastel drawing.

thats pretty cool.  thumbsup So did the bear get into  a fight between the two pics and lose an ear in it? Just kidding nice work, ought to give it to the girls and have them give a go of it. They will be so bored over the long weekend.

lol yeh i figured someone would ask about the ear.   lets just say i was like a week behind turning it in so i just made it all fur and extended the side of his head so the ear "would be off the paper"  evil6

sorry for the double post, but here is a pic of my pastel. sorry its bent up..    anyways,    so every shade of color you see was mixed with at least 3 or 4 different colors of different pastel chalks...it took forever. its like a nomad guy sitting in the shadows lol.

thanks guys. those are my 2 favorite ones. my others arent as good because of the shading...but i dotn have them here so i cant upload pics.

hey im reviving this topic and asking if you guys would like to see my other sketches from my sketch book. they are pretty awesome...and i even have one  of homer simpson....so yeh say if you want me to upload them...im not gonna just go and upload them without feedback though because its almost midnight and i dont want to scan stuff in unless people are actually gonna view it.  azn

ok..i have some new ones...i know this thread has over 1000 views but post a reply if you want me to upload some new ones...like anime girl faces and stuff...they are sweet looking...for my first time drawing in a while..let alone actual faces....and stuff....so post up if you want me to upload them...im asking for a response or two because my scanner has been acting up and dont want to go through the trouble if noones gonna look at them and post about them  evil6
