eicar test file.. i cant delete the folder in drive C.. i moved it in avast chest file but it keeps on popping out..thats supposed to be a quarantine.. i cant delete it using avast.. i dont want to download another anti virus.. can anyone tell me how to delete this totally?? it keeps on popping out geez

When you say " popping out " do you mean the antivirus software is pointing to the file?

 Have you tried, or are you faniliar with safe mode, and deleting items there?

theres an exmaple by becman.. we have the same antivirus.. he's using avast too..
i put it in the chest file.. but the virus keeps on coming..how can i totally delete this one.. i know this is not a virus but a pest dummy virus.. i have a dozen of this in my chest.. becman how did u delete this?.. please help me..  it cant be delete and repair  cry

i didn't do anything after. it was just not there anymore after i deleted it from avast. although i have to manually close notepad. that's it. you sure you didn't download the real thing? JK Very Happy

 angel that was great!!! i've been using avast for quite  a long time.if you will not manually scan for yourself,it will not tell that you copied a vitrus into
your system.only windows defender got it without scanning.oh men!!! i'm been recommending this software before who dont want to buy antivirus..thanks bro.
