Ok so one of my buds got this new pc but he doesn't have an antivirus.
Now, which antivirus can i give him to use, since he doesn't have internet connection ?

the only thing i can think of right now that has an offline auto updater is norton, i know avg has one too but has issues when updating or what-not.
any ideas about an AV he can use so i can give him a virus def every week or so ?

your friend's pc can be infected with a virus thru diskettes, flash disks and even cd copies w/c contain 'em so you gotta give him an anti-virus. i recomment Nod32. however, i do not know any offline updating with nod 32. what your going to do to upgrade its virus definitions is to bring your friend's cpu to your house and connect it thru your internet at least twice a month, its gonna keep his pc clean.

Yeah AVG works perfectly that way. Smile Updating offline won't be a pain.
